Canadian Jack Feka lives in Villarica, Chile in the southern Temuco region. Taking advantage of a sporadic internet connection, he shares his experience and describes some of the damage in his area. While still unable to communicate by phone, Villarica didn't suffer as much damage as other areas. Neither did the tiny coastal town of Lican Ray, where his wife owns an inn. We were able to chat with him for a few minutes before the connection was cut and are thankful to this long-term expat for sharing. Click here to read his blog.

The town of Lican Ray is on a lake shore, not the sea coast.
