Digital cameras and accessories are a must here. There is so much to photograph. But bring them with you because they cost 2-3 times what they would cost in the U.S. Just be sure they're the kind that can adapt to both 110V and 220V electricity if you use chargers. And it is best to bring the kind you charge, not the ones the use batteries. Because batteries are super expensive too. (Or they're fake Energizer and Duracell lithium batteries that never last long). Seriously, even if you don't think you'll take many pictures because you're coming on business or something you'll kick yourself for not bringing a camera. And with the rich cultures of this continent you've just GOT to go digital!
