good English/Spanish private schools in Cuenca

We are thinking of moving to Cuenca where my husband will teach English and I was wondering if anyone would recommend a good school for our daughter who will be going into the 1st grade in September. Also, she is very dark skinned and I have been told that Ecuador is very racist, so I am looking for a diverse, small class size, sweet school. Is there a kindred spirit community in Cuenca where we would be welcome? Thank you.
