So we went to Burger King tonight (gross but no time to cook) and something about the place totally threw me off. It wasn't until the cashier stared at me blankly and said "lo siento, no le entiendo" (sorry, I don't understand you) that I realized I had placed my order in English!

Why? Because the ENTIRE RESTAURANT was full of blond-haired blue-eyed people like me! (Members of one of Bolivia's numerous Mennonite colonies, as pictured above. Most of them live in large farming communities but they often come into the city for supplies or to sell their produce).
