There are hundreds of international schools, bilingual schools, American schools, and other English-language schools in South America for expat kids, missionary kids, and expatriate children of military personnel and diplomats. Because there are so many, we’ve listed sites and directories that have already uploaded descriptions of many, many schools and haven’t listed schools individually because there are so many. However, you can help us add to this list by simply adding a link to the school’s website or (better yet) sending in your review or a short summary of your experience at an international school in any of the 10 South American countries this website covers. Although there are many well-known schools in Central America and the Caribbean, we’d like to limit this list to the countries we cover on GoSouthExpat.com, namely: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Argentina.
Directories and Listings of Schools Overseas
The ESL Teachers’ Board has one of the best and longest listings of international schools in South America. One very helpful resource is the Association of American Schools in South America. The Network of International Christian Schools lists schools and teaching job opportunities, and has a family forum. So does the Association of Christian Schools International. World Wide Schools has a great listing of international schools in Centrla and South America plus descriptions of each. The International Schools Directory also has a good list of schools. Transitions Abroad has a huge list of job sources for teaching abroad. eiNet lists a few schools in South America. The Edvisors Online Education Directory lists some schools and school directories. Call the Register lists only 2 schools here but the descriptions are good. Long and detailed. Study Sphere lists a few. Cobis.org lists British international schools all over the world.
