Since repatriating 1.5 years ago it has been REALLY hard to keep in touch and maintain the wonderful friendships that we created. It was so busy and really difficult to move again and get my 5yo and newborn settled and sending an email or making even a short call was tough. Now time has gone by and it's even harder.

I bet if you called or wrote your friends they would be so ecstatic to hear from you they wouldn't care at all how much time had passed. They won't be judgmental, especially if they haven't called or written you either.
