about the fruit and water
by: Anonymous

Suggest you boil the water at full boil for 20 minutes. We have a large clay water jug - about 10 gallons - tastes just as good as the expensive water cooler jugs you find at offices in the States.

We wash all fruit and vegetables with 10 drops of iodine per 1 gallon of water - but then we did that in the US too (the fruit here probably has fewer fertilizers and contaminants than US fruit does). Also, some fruit doesn't keep well after being washed - we wash right before we plan to use them. The iodine leaves no taste on the fruit.
