Why we chose to live in Ecuador.

Our first visit to Ecuador was in February 2008. Originally we are from Perth, Western Australia. Now we are residents of Ecuador and have lived here for over two years. Cuenca is our home base and it is a wonderful charming city of about 450,000.

I started a website called Retire in Ecuador (www.retire-in-ecuador.com) before we left Australia. Now it has become an increasingly popular website. Especially because Ecuador has been named the best place to retire for the second year in a row.

I am by no means retired and work as webmaster to my site and also www.cuencaproperties.com
